Back to School Fashion -- Southern Utah Style

29 stylish back to school outfits captured by photographer Abbey Kyhl of AK Studio and Design

Did you join the annual back to school shopping exodus to Las Vegas and Salt Lake? Maybe you didn't have to. So, in case you have a few more fall outfits to finish off your school shopping and just to prove that individuality, affordability and serious style can be found in our southern borders, we introduce 29 sassy, sweet, spunky and all american models. These 29 kids are decked out in their back to school best and they are showing off their Southern Utah style in outfits and clothes mostly found in Southern Utah.

While many of the clothes sources in Southern Utah are the same, personality and ingenuity can take any look from sweet and studious to a little bit of rock and roll or preppy. Of course, there are a few trends that we are seeing everywhere but that doesn't mean your child needs to be a copy cat. Let them express themselves and don't be afraid if it doesn't match. After all the mismatched look is in.

Fall Trends.

Check out how they work in our fashion slideshow.

Skinny pants -- they come in jeans, cords and chino styles. Go classic or go bright like a hot pink.

Converse style shoes for boys and gals -- They are everywhere and can be plain jane white to pink and black zebra print.

Gray -- Gray is the new neutral. Stock up on a few key elements in this cool color.

Leggings -- Thank heavens for leggings and the ability to take a skirt from the classroom to the play ground. Stock up. But look for deals.

Bright colors for boys -- Turquoise and purple are a favorite for boys right now.

Plaid -- You certainly won't escape a plaid shirt for your kids this season. They come in every style and color combo for both boys and girls. It makes shopping easy.

We would like to thank Abbey Kyhl owner of AK Studio and Design, Recycled Consign and Design of Cedar City (for those pretty headpieces) and all the parents who made these kids sparkle personality.
